WIND WORKS FOR AMERICA

Thanks to its rapid growth in recent years, wind power now supports over 100,000 full-time jobs in all 50 states.
Learn How Wind Puts Americans to Work
Wind in your state
American wind power now supports 100,000 jobs in all 50 states. These include 25,000 manufacturing jobs at over 500 U.S. factories, many in America’s Rust Belt. Thanks to these workers, wind energy has become a new “cash crop” for farmers and ranchers, since 99 percent of turbines are built in rural areas. These landowners earn $245 million a year by leasing to turbines. And wind farm operators pay billions in added tax revenue that helps rural communities keep hospitals open and pay teachers’ salaries. According to Navigant Consulting, American wind power can create a quarter million wind-related jobs by the end of President Trump’s first term. This is an American success story. Wind energy works for America.
