American wind power now supports 100,000 jobs in all 50 states. These include 25,000 manufacturing jobs at over 500 U.S. factories, many in America’s Rust Belt. Thanks to these workers, wind energy has become a new “cash crop” for farmers and ranchers, since 99 percent of turbines are built in rural areas. These landowners earn $245 million a year by leasing to turbines. And wind farm operators pay billions in added tax revenue that helps rural communities keep hospitals open and pay teachers’ salaries. According to Navigant Consulting, American wind power can create a quarter million wind-related jobs by the end of President Trump’s first term. This is an American success story. Wind energy works for America.

The wind turbines have been a very good change to our income base, we have seen a nice improvement in our livelihood, something we can share with our families, share with our grand kids. - John Ussery, Farmer, Nolan, TX
